CCM has taken a pledge to become a Civically Engaged Organization (CEO), whereby CCM engages in nonpartisan civic engagement practices. CEO is an initiative of the Connecticut Secretary of the State, Stephanie Thomas.
CCM Pledge:
Email to employees the Secretary of the State’s non-partisan “Civics 101” document
Note dates of elections in the office and/or in newsletters (CCM webpage)
Give staff time off to vote on Election Days (if schedules don’t allow before or after-hours voting)
Announce CCM’s commitment to civic engagement via email and social media
Give employees time to volunteer in the community each year
Email or post a polling place look-up tool for employees

CCM policy allows employees 3 days (22.5 hours) each year to volunteer in communities. Please check with Faith Brooks, Human Resources Director, with any questions you may have.
