The Town of Hamden is seeking qualified candidates to fill the position of Town Planner. This is a highly responsible Administrative position in the Town of Hamden responsible for directing a comprehensive program of municipal planning and development in the functional areas of land us, economic development, housing, population trends, community potable water and waste water needs, transportation and related municipal planning services.

Education:

• Master's degree in Urban Planning and eight (8) years of increasingly responsible experience in urban/community municipal planning or:
• Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning or a closely related field plus ten (10) years of increasingly responsible experience in municipal planning.
• Certification as a Municipal Planner by the American Institute of Certified Planners is desirable.
