  • Oversee the development of each division’s annual work plan, ensuring the Town’s infrastructure assets are maintained and adopted service level expectations are achieved.
  • Prioritize activities and strategically deploy valuable resources across the divisions.
  • Significant public works operations experience.
  • Play an important role in troubleshooting issues, particularly those related to customer service complaints, special projects, and unusual circumstances.
  • Ensure divisions complete essential activities.
  • Guide division managers and crew leaders in evaluating, prioritizing, and resolving workplace issues.
  • Maintain appropriate communication and consultation with the Director of Public Works.
  • Keep the Director of Public Works apprised of major issues, concerns and customer relations activities that could impact the Department’s services or involve other entities such as the Town Council.

Qualifications back to top

  • Must understand the various functions of each Department of Public Works division.
  • Must also have strong communication skills, management abilities, Microsoft Office Suite and infrastructure management software expertise.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred.
