Highly responsible work involving: planning, organizing, and administering an equitable real and personal property assessment program. Supervises and participates in the valuing of all property (personal, real, and motor vehicle), conducts inspections of existing properties, improved properties, and properties under construction to determine value of properties and make independent field judgments on accuracy and applicability of data, and compiles and certifies the grand list.

Thorough knowledge of state assessment statutes and the ability to successfully use specialized software programs is required.
CCMA II certification and a valid Connecticut Driver’s License is required. Associate’s Degree in business and/or accounting and at least three years of municipal assessment experience or a minimum of five years of municipal experience (including computer-assisted mass appraisal work) and working knowledge of the principles and practices of Real and Personal Property Appraisal work; or equivalent combination of experience and training.
