The Northwest Hills Council of Governments (NHCOG) is pleased to announce a recruitment for a Regional Grant & Project Development Specialist to join our team in Litchfield, Connecticut.
This full-time, 35-hour-per-week position will serve as a key resource for developing regional projects and securing funding to address health, wellness, and broader community needs throughout NHCOG's 21-member Northwest Hills Planning Region. The position is hybrid eligible and will work closely with municipalities, healthcare organizations, nonprofit agencies, educational institutions, emergency responders, and state and federal partners.
Primary responsibilities include identifying and developing grant-ready projects, researching federal, state, foundation, and private funding opportunities, preparing competitive grant applications, providing technical assistance to municipalities, building regional partnerships, and supporting initiatives addressing the Social Determinants of Health. Areas of focus may include housing, transportation, healthcare access, behavioral health, workforce development, broadband, public safety, environmental health, and economic stability.
The position offers a salary range of $80,000–$85,000, commensurate with experience, along with an excellent fringe benefit package.
