An Act Establishing Tax Increment Financing Districts, P.A. 15-57, became effective five years ago on October 1, 2015. This new law made it a municipal option to create TIF districts within a community.
TIF is a unique economic and community development tool that can help revitalize priority areas and fund transformative projects. Find out what motivated early municipal adopters of this tool and what the impact has been or is hoped to be.
