CCM is pleased to announce a potential no-cost battery energy-storage program for CCM members with qualifying facilities through Stamford-based Clean Peak Energy. Battery storage can provide facilities with electricity resiliency during a power failure as well as reduce electricity demand charges and Installed Capacity allocation costs. This is a limited program and is expected to fill up quickly.
No-Cost Battery Storage Program
Qualifying facilities can potentially receive the following with no costs:
- Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) design, construction, and commissioning
- Permitting, interconnection and metering with your local utility and the grid
- Battery Storage System
- Resiliency
Limited Enrollment Program
This limited program is available in part due to the Inflation Reduction Act and the Connecticut battery incentive program. Reservations are expected to fill up quickly and the capacity is limited.
Facilities such as High Schools, Middle Schools, Water Treatment Facilities or buildings with large electricity loads with excess electrical hosting capacity at the street are potential prospective sites for this program.
