2019 Connecticut Charity Triple Crown
Join us for the second annual CCM-sponsored charity event! We look forward to welcoming all CCM members as well as residents, business, state officials, and community members.
We invite partners to sponsor this annual philanthropic event — an opportunity to bring together all those who believe in collaborating for the common good.
This will be an evening of Triple Crown-themed food, fun, and entertainment! Proceeds from this event will go to three great Connecticut causes: Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery, Journey Home, and the Parent Child Resource Center
Join us on Friday, May 10th as we race to give back!
Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery back to top
The Connecticut Community for Addiction Recovery (CCAR) envisions a world where the power, hope and healing of recovery from alcohol and other drug addiction is thoroughly understood and embraced. CCAR is a centralized resource in CT for all things recovery. CCAR is here to help Connecticut residents navigate the recovery community, by connecting them with others in recovery and providing access to area support services.
Living in recovery from alcohol and other drugs is a never ending journey, and CCAR is here to help meet those in recovery meet and sustain goals. They provide services through recovery community centers, young adult and family support programs, telephone recovery services, and recovery coaches providing support to those on the recovery journey from day one and then every day following.

Journey Home back to top
Journey Home’s mission is to ensure a home for all. We believe the most powerful way to do this is collectively – by working together with service providers, elected officials, businesses and local communities to end homelessness in the Capital region of Connecticut. We will build partnerships, advance innovative solutions and achieve enduring, systemic change.
Now in its 12th year, Journey Home applies sustainable solutions to the barriers that create cycles of homelessness. We are proud to be the lead agency coordinating the homeless service system in Greater Hartford and in Greater New Britain and working to improve access to the housing and services in the community. Journey Home also provides:
· assistance with job placement through the Aerospace Employment Placement Program,
· improved access to healthcare through the Community Care Team,
· assistance with housing through the City of Hartford Housing Choice Voucher Preference Program, and
· furniture for people moving out of homelessness and into their own homes through the A Hand Up program at Journey Home.

Parent Child Resource Center back to top
The Mission of the Parent Child Resource Center is “Saving Lives by Passionately Caring for Children, Families and Community.”
Through a comprehensive range of programs, PCRC helps children, from infancy through high school, and their families address significant behavioral health challenges, so they can develop to their fullest potential and make our community stronger.
PCRC provides assessment and treatment of children with a wide range of serious emotional and behavioral health problems, including substance use, with nearly 80% of the children having experienced trauma, abuse or neglect. Children in crisis are seen by our Rapid Response Service. In addition to Outpatient Clinical Programs for seriously at-risk youth, PCRC provides consultation to early childhood settings, intensive in-home treatment for high risk caretakers and their young children as well as parent training and support. Our multidisciplinary team of qualified and supportive professionals works together with children and their families to develop healthy coping skills and improve communication.
