The Town of Thompson is seeking bids for replacement of the Fire Alarm Panel, located at the Thompson Public Library/Community Center, 934 Riverside Drive in the North Grosvenordale section of Thompson, CT.

To replace the existing fire alarm panel and necessary associated components which is original to the building (1994). A scheduled site visit to inspect the facility is required. Bids shall include the cost of labor and materials and description of work needed to be performed and a timetable for completion. A minimum of three (3) references must be provided with the bid. Proof of Insurance must be provided.

SEALED BID – LIBRARY FIRE ALARM REPLACEMENT PROJECT must appear on the outside of the bid package envelope. Sealed bids must be received by the First Selectman’s Office, Town of Thompson Town Hall, P.O. Box 899, 815 Riverside Dr., North Grosvenordale, CT 06255-0899 no later than 1:00 pm, Tuesday, March 5, 2019. All requested information must be included. Faxed and e-mailed bids will not be accepted. Submissions received after the deadline will not be considered.

Bids will be clocked in upon receipt, and publicly opened and read aloud at the March 5, 2019 meeting of the Board of Selectmen at 7:00 pm in the Merrill Seney Community Room at the Town Hall. A decision will be made at a regular or special meeting of the Board of Selectmen to be scheduled.

The Town of Thompson reserves the right to reject any and all proposals, or any part thereof, and to waive any informality in the process to serve the best interests of the Town of Thompson. The Town reserves the right, either before or after the opening of proposals, to ask any proposer to clarify its proposal or to submit additional information that the Town, in its sole discretion, deems desirable.

Prices must be firm for a period of one hundred and twenty (120) days following the bid opening. Bid withdrawal may be made only with the consent of the Town of Thompson.
