The Town of Rockingham (pop. 5,282) and the Village of Bellows Falls (pop. 3,016), Vermont, seek a positive, energetic, creative, proactive, and community-oriented leader to serve as its next municipal manager. Rockingham, located in southeastern Vermont, is a vibrant and welcoming community in the beautiful Connecticut River Valley. Historic architecture, charming villages, and unspoiled countryside plus an engaged and active citizenry make Rockingham a great place to live.

The municipal manager reports to two five-member elected boards and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the town and village. He or she supervises all departments, including police, fire, and public works, which includes water, wastewater and highway, and administrative offices. The manager administers a $1.7 million budget for the village and a $5.8 million budget for the town, and oversees all financial, public works, labor relations, and community relations matters. A bachelor’s degree is required (master’s degree preferred). Five years of experience in a senior level management position in government is preferred; experience as a town manager is a plus.

Salary range is $80,000 to $90,000, plus an excellent benefits package.
