The Town of Killingly Highway Department has an immediate opening for a full-time Director of Highway Operations. This position plans and provides for the maintenance of all Town ways, easements and related facilities including equipment so they can be used safely as intended. The Director shall coordinate effective plans and programs with the Town's engineers, staff and other related functions and shall conduct all operations in a courteous and safe manner.

Must have and maintain a valid commercial driver's license. Must have a thorough knowledge of how to properly maintain roads, streets, surface and subsurface drainage, bridges, road way shoulders, sidewalks, construction equipment and equipment maintenance tools and supplies; a thorough knowledge of roadway materials, supplies and equipment and how to provide for their cost effective and safe use; how to successfully apply roadway and related facility construction plans, descriptions and specifications.
