The City of Stamford is seeking a highly motivated and experienced
professional to lead its HR Division. Under the general direction of
the Director of Legal Affairs, oversees all human resources, labor
relations and related functions of the City. Develops and recommends HR
policies and practices. Serves as the administrative head of the human
resources division. Under the general direction of the Mayor, serves as
the City's chief spokesperson in collective bargaining negotiations, and
represents the City in contract administration, grievance proceedings
and administrative hearings concerning human resources and labor
relations matters.
Min. Req.: A B.A. or B.S. degree. A J.D. degree from an accredited law
school or an equiv. post-graduate degree in a field relevant to the
duties of the position. A min. of 7 yrs in human resources generalists
functions and labor relations, including at least 5 yrs of exp. in
collective bargaining negotiations and contract administration. Must
possess a valid driver's license.
