LABOR RELATIONS ANALYST - CCM

POSTING DATE: January 20, 2010

Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM) located in New Haven, CT, seeks a Labor Relations Analyst to oversee CCM’s labor relations technical assistance program. Duties include obtaining, analyzing, and maintaining a database of municipal employee contracts and arbitration awards and reporting on them. Oversees the preparation of a monthly Data Reporter publication for subscribers summarizing recent arbitration awards and other labor information. Oversees the preparation, publication, and distribution of the CCM Annual Survey of Municipal Officials’ Salaries and the annual update of the Municipal Employee Relations Act (MERA) manual. Must have a bachelor’s degree in public administration, industrial relations, or related degree or a minimum of 3 years experience as a labor relations analyst in a municipal environment, or an equivalent combination. Thorough knowledge of the basic principles underlying state, federal and local laws relating to municipal labor relations, and knowledge of the collective bargaining process in Connecticut is also a must, as are excellent computer skills.
