for public meetings, with special provisions affecting public safety
personnel. In this unique program designed specifically for local Police
and Fire departments, attendees will learn about:

information
- Employment issues including collective bargaining and personnel,
medical and investigative files
- Law enforcement & security exemptions to FOIA

DIRECTIONS
Taking I-84 Eastbound: Exit 35 (left exit) to Route 72 East. Take third exit, marked
Main Street. At the end of the exit take a right onto Elm Street. At the next light take
a right onto Chestnut Street. Municipal Parking garage is located on the right. Sign
indicates parking here for ITBD.
Taking I-84 Westbound: Exit 39A to Route 9 South. Take Exit 27 (left exit) Chestnut
Street. At the end of the exit take a right onto Chestnut Street and proceed through
the second light. Municipal Parking garage is located on the right. Sign indicates
parking here for ITBD.
Taking Routes 9, 15, or I-91: Route 15 North to I-91 North to exit 22N to Route 9
North. Take Route 9 North to Exit 26 marked Downtown New Britain. Go straight to
the end of the exit and take a left at the second traffic light onto Chestnut Street. Go
through one traffic light. Municipal Parking garage is located on the right. Sign
indicates parking here for ITBD.
