PROGRAM
The Connecticut Public Sector Purchasing Coalition will hold a meeting on November 16, 2007 to discuss methods through which municipalities can slow the rise in their employee benefit costs. The event will runs from 8am to 3pm, will be held at the Four Points by Sheraton Meriden.
Topics will include
- a roundtable on proposed health benefit legislation and coalition purchasing plans to improve health and contain drug costs
- use of generic medicines
- and Medicare Part D.

Coalition members include Michael Walsh, Finance Director, Town of East Hartford, Caroline Beitman, Personnel Director, City of Meriden, Bernadette Welch, Personnel Director, City of New London, Fred Manfredonia, Human Resources Specialist, City of Stamford, and Jim Haselkamp, Personnel Director, City of Norwalk.
