Workshop:
Learn to Develop a Comprehensive RFP/RFQ
May 21, 2009
Cheshire, CT
9:00 a.m. – 12 noon, Registration 8:30 a.m.
Presented by ARCADIS
PROGRAM OVERVIEW
Recent legislation changes force municipalities to develop a
clear, concise understanding of their project at the RFP/RFQ
stage.
Does your RFP/RFQ clearly spell out all the requirements and
scope of your consultants? Or, is it an open invitation to
additional service and change orders? When a project is released
to bid for construction, the request is accompanied by volumes
of specifications and hundreds of drawings. How do you qualify
and determine professional consultant services?
This program will focus on how current legislation impacts
your municipal or school construction project and how to
minimize risk in qualifications and the proposal process.
LEARNING OBJECTIVES
- Define the project scope based on your specific goals and
objectives.
- Learn what should be included, and what should be omitted.
- Assess the project based on LEED certification.
- Understand what CT state laws require regarding limits on
the total scope of the project, especially change orders.
- Determine your evaluation criteria: how do you decide
what and who is best for your project.
