Lamont, Stefanowski and Griebel Set For Final Debate On The Night of October 30 at CCM Convention at Foxwoods

The major candidates for Governor – Ned Lamont, Bob Stefanowski and Oz Griebel -- are set to face off at the final gubernatorial debate this fall, to be held one week before the November 6 Election Day, sponsored by the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities (CCM), WTNH News 8 and The Hartford Courant.
The event will be held during CCM’s annual convention on Tuesday, October 30, 2018 at Foxwoods Resort Casino, and will air live on WTNH News 8 from 7 to 8 pm.
The debate will be moderated by veteran News 8 anchor Ann Nyberg, with panelists including veteran News 8 anchor Keith Kountz, Hartford Courant political writer Daniela Altimari, and CCM Executive Director Joe DeLong.
“This last debate represents our voters’ best and last chance to size up the major candidates for governor on the key issues facing Connecticut residents and businesses,” said Joe DeLong, CCM Executive Director.

So CCM can plan appropriately, we request that news media representatives who want to cover the debate: (1) contact CCM before Friday, October 26 so we can reserve a good location for you in the debate room; and (2) be sure you arrive in the debate room that evening by 6:30 p.m. (we need to secure and close the room by 6:45 p.m. for the live broadcast).
And please be aware that WTNH/Nexstar Broadcasting, the Hartford Courant and CCM have the sole rights to broadcast, rebroadcast, telecast, webcast, or podcast the live debate. Other media will be asked to refrain from broadcasting the event live or filming it to broadcast at a later time. Still photography during the debate and live shots prior to or following the debate will be permitted.
