As a CIRMA Sr. Software Engineer working on the Guidewire ClaimCenter implementation, you will have the opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in a collaborative work environment in cross-functional teams, contributing to the ongoing success of our members and organization, advancing our strategic technological initiatives. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Risk Management & Business Analytics, this position requires strong communication skills and the drive to take on problem solving challenges with a high degree of ownership. Innovative thinking, along with follow through on the development and implementation of solutions impacting core business functions and business processes, is key to supporting CIRMA’s strategic business plan.

  • BA/BS in Computer Science or related technical field or equivalent practical experience
  • Agile experience is required, with participation in daily standup meetings, project checkups, and retrospectives
  • Keen ability to communicate status via defined processes and project management tools
  • Experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter platform 8.0, 9.0 or higher
  • Ability to develop claims software and integration services in the Guidewire platform
  • Extensive experience HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Java
  • Good knowledge and demonstrated ability with GOSU programming
  • DevOps experience is a big advantage
  • Strong experience with data warehousing and cloud-based technologies
  • Ability to evaluate proposed system changes on complex applications to determine effort, impact, and timeline within area of responsibility and knowledge of other relevant applications
  • Provide technical and business leadership, mentoring, and training
  • Excellent time management and interpersonal skills
