The mission of the Connecticut Conference of Municipalities is:
To enable cities and towns to do together what they cannot do as well by themselves
To meet the evolving needs of local governments and their
elected and appointed officials
To effectively advocate municipal interests in the legislature,
the executive branch, and other forums
To promote progressive, responsive, effective, and efficient
local government.
In carrying out its mission, CCM
develops and advances in a non-partisan manner public
policies that strengthen local governments and their ability
to serve their residents and businesses
relies upon and draws its strength from the active participation,
expertise, creativity, and cooperation of local government
officials throughout Connecticut
advocates regional, intermunicipal, and intergovernmental
cooperation
provides effective forums for the interchange of ideas and
experience
disseminates information that is accurate, relevant, and
objective
delivers high-quality programs, products, and services
strives to ascertain, anticipate, and be responsive to the needs
of member towns and cities and their officials
works closely with a wide range of other organizations and
individuals in the state and federal governments and in the
private non-profit and for-profit sectors
is committed to the observance of the highest standards of
quality, ethical behavior, and customer satisfaction.
