PROGRAM OVERVIEW back to top

This workshop will provide an overview of Sustainable CT, including tools, resources, and funding for registered municipalities. We will focus on actions in the Sustainable CT's Transportation and Housing Categories, highlighting success stories from Sustainable CT certified communities. The workshop will include a tour of Stamford's Mill River Park, one of five nationwide to be awarded the American Planning Association's Great Places in America designation. The tour will highlight the park’s role in promoting active transportation, providing access to green space for residents in housing adjacent to the park, the importance of equity as a guiding principle, and the role of the park as a flood control measure for the City of Stamford. Please be prepared to walk for 1 mile, including in modestly inclement weather.
