PROGRAM OVERVIEW back to top

Public officials often have a love-hate relationship with the media, especially when a crisis occurs. But let’s face it, you need the press and the press needs you so best to be prepared and practiced at getting your message out in an effective way.

GSG works with clients to provide both in-depth and refresher media trainings, for clients with minimal to extensive media interview experience. This media training workshop will include a review of best practices, including reporter mindsets, how media is changing, methods of maximizing control during an interview, and strategies for handling controversies/crises and combative reporters. We will also review messaging tips and tricks, including words to use and lose, how to create a compelling sound bite, training and practicing for on-camera and in-studio appearances, and how to effectively use stories and anecdotes. We will discuss how to interact with the media day-to-day in a transparent and engaging way.

Global Strategy Group is the go-to public affairs, communications, and research partner for companies, causes, and campaigns. We work with our clients to build their reputations, tackle big challenges, and win.
